India: TWAS-DBT Postgraduate Fellowship (2023)
Apply for the TWAS-DBT Postgraduate Fellowship Program 2023. UNESCO-TWAS have collaborated with the Department of Biotechnology (DBT) of the Ministry of Science and Technology, India, to offer a fully-funded fellowship program to help international students from developing countries that have plans to pursue PhD in biotechnology.
During the
fellowship, DBT will give a monthly stipend for health insurance, living
expenses, and food. Also, a house rent allowance will be provided. Apply for

Eligibility
Criteria:
- Applicants must have a master’s
degree or its equivalent.
- Fellows must not possess visas
for permanent or temporary residency in India or any developed country.
- Candidates must enroll in any
university in their home country at the time of applying.
- Applicants must be from a
developing country other than India.
- Applicants should be 35 years or
younger on 31 December, 2022.
- Candidates must be willing to
enroll in an Indian university for FULL-TIME Fellowships.
- Applicants must provide a
research proposal outline.
- Fellows must be accepted at an
Indian biotechnology institute.
- Applicant must provide an
English proficiency certificate in case English was not the medium of
education.
- Students will be financially
responsible for any accompanying family members.
Benefits:

- For SANDWICH Fellowships,
funding might be provided for 12 months to 2 years.
- For FULL-TIME Fellowships, DBT
may provide funding for the initial fellowship period, 3 years.
