Hamad International Airport (HIA) is located on reclaimed land of about 4 km from the Doha International Airport. The key goal was to establish an aviation hub of international standard.

The eastern runway is 4,850 meters long, the 7th longest commercial runway in the world, and is supported by the western runway with a length of 4250 meters. HIA is the hub of the swiftly expanding international Qatar Airways network.

The airport is always opened. It is located just 5 km from city center of Doha and is used by more than 35 regional and international airlines. It is, as well, home to the world’s only terminal dedicated to Qatar Airways First and Business Class passengers.
