Germany: Stephan Klasen Fellowship for Developing Countries 2023 (Fully Funded)

Germany Fellowships

Applications are open for the Stephan Klasen Fellowship 2023 in Germany. The fellowship was birthed in 2019. The main motive is to honor the great commitment of the development economist, Stephan Klasen, to young researchers and to help develop economics in Göttingen as a whole.

Göttingen is currently Germany’s number 1 spot for research on developing countries. The development economist established University of Göttingen’s Faculty of Business and Economics junior professorships in the faculty’s early stages.

Göttingen now invites two postdoctoral fellows for a one-year scientific exchange each year with no teaching required. Either one or all two of the postdoctoral fellows will be females. Note that applications for the fellowship is opened on yearly basis. Stipends are adjusted frequently based on cost of living to ensure that fellows can live comfortably in Göttingen.
